Trash to Treasure

Trash to Treasure will be held on Saturday, June 2, 2018 at the auxiliary gym inside Adler Athletic Complex on Penn State Altoona Campus (3000 Ivyside Park, Altoona, PA 16601). This is an indoor yard sale, turning one man's trash into another man's treasure, held in cooperation with Penn State Altoona. Items for sale could include electronics, clothing, housewares, furniture, books, office supplies, toys, and miscellaneous other items. We are offering an early bird entry from 7:00-8:00 a.m. for a $5 admission fee. General sale is from 8:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. Admission to the general sale is free. All proceeds benefit United Way of Blair County's general fund and is used to support local programs that meet the needs of our community.

VOLUNTEERS AND DONATIONS NEEDED! Volunteers are needed from Tuesday, May 29th through Friday, June 1st to help sort items, organize, and set up for the sale. Volunteers are also needed the day of the sale (Saturday, June 2nd) from 6:30 a.m. unitl 1:00 p.m. On the day of the sale, volunteers will help greet customers, assist with checkout, and assist customers with finding, bagging, and loading items. Donations of items for the sale are also needed. Suggestions of items to donate include (but are not limited to) athletic equipment, carpets, furniture, electronics, children's clothes or toys, fans, small appliances, etc. Items can be dropped off at the auxiliary gym inside Adler Athletic Complex during the following days/times: 

Tuesday, May 29th - 10:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m.

Wednesday, May 30th, 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.

Thursday, May 31th, 10:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m.

Friday, June 1st, 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.


Independent consultant vendors will be set up throughout the sale. Shoppers can visit their tables, purchase their products and enter to win a door prize basket filled with one product from each vendor. ***If you are an independent consultant interested in setting up a table during the event, please contact Meghan Sinisi at or 814-317-5108 ext. 301***
