Day Of Caring Volunteers

130 volunteers helped 30 agencies during the 17th annual Day of Caring. Thank you to everyone for choosing to LIVE UNITED. Thank you to Atlantic Broadband and Giant Eagle for sponsoring this event and to all of the businesses that allowed their employees to volunteer!

Volunteer Opportunities at the United Way


Campaign:  Help companies run employee campaigns, reach out to new companies and donors, arrange for agency speakers, or help with data entry.
Community Garden:  Help water, weed and harvest.
Community Outreach:  Provide information and activities at community events, assist local agencies and the United Day with one-day projects.
Elementary Tutors:  Work one-on-one to help elementary students succeed in school
Prescription Assistance: Help individuals to access low-cost or free prescription drugs.  Training provided
Youth Leadership Board:  Learn skills and build confidence to make a difference in the community.  Work as a team on a project such as a prom gown give-a-way, battle of the bands, or holiday celebration.
