United Way of Blair County measures success not simply by the amount of dollars raised, but rather by the number of lives impacted. As a result of the 2015-16 campaign, United Way of Blair County was able to provide funding for 30 Blair County human service programs that are meeting the critical needs of Blair County residents. Thousands of lives will be impacted by these programs. In addition, thousands more lives will be impacted through the Family Resource Center (a program of United Way of Blair County) and the variety of outreach programs offered by United Way of Blair County and Family Resource Center including Stuff the Bus (school supply distribution), Toasty Toddler (winter weather apparel distribution for children birth though age 4), Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA), Glass Slipper Project (a prom gown giveaway program), Familywize Prescription Discount Cards, and the annual Day of Caring. None of these outreach programs would be possible without the 803 volunteers sharing thousands of hours of their time to help our community.

While the number of lives impacted from the 2015-16 campaign is significant, there are many more in our community who need our assistance. Our goal for the 2016-17 campaign is to impact more lives, to put more needed dollars back into our community through impact grants, and to provide more programs and services to more people.

What can you do? Did you know that even $1 a week can make a significant difference in our community?

Please join with us to make a difference in Blair County. Be a volunteer, contribute to the campaign, encourage your employer to run an employee campaign - or all of the above!

No gift is too small, no hour volunteered insignifigant, and no life unimportant.

Together, we will Live United and make our hopes and dreams for our community a reality.
